2 CommentsIn case anyone was wondering why I haven’t written much in the past 10 days let me fill you in. There are 6 reasons why alcohol consumption and hangovers make many people anxious and I’m going tell you what they are. I want to share this with you so that you can be more informed and avoid becoming alcohol’s punching bag.
During the course of my nervous sickness I’ve heard a lot people say that anxiety sufferers should not drink alcohol basically stating that it will make you more nervous than you already are. I always found this to be ironic because there are so many anxiety sufferers that drink alcohol to cope with their anxiety – cruel world.
So you haven’t made up your mind about whether or not you have an anxiety disorder? Well if your not totally convinced that you have an anxiety problem ask yourself if you experience any of the top ten anxiety indicators.
1. You worry excessively about everything.
2. You experience anxiety symptoms like shortness of breath, palpitations, and dizziness while at rest.
3. You sometimes think you are going crazy.
4. You avoid social situations.

Being anxious is one thing but thinking that your about to die because of your anxiety is a different sport altogether. This I believe is the difference between the normal person and the person living with an anxiety disorder.

So there you are – its Saturday night and your ready for the night life, a movie or something that smacks of sociability when you remember, “oh yea I have anxiety so I can’t go anywhere”. Well to be honest that’s me talking to myself but you may have done this yourself a few times.
Have you just moved to a new town or city? Have you recently gotten married or started a new job? Chances are that if you have had to start something new your anxiety levels have gone up.
However despite your unease you should realize that such a reaction to any serious change in your life’s routine can and most likely will cause angst, among other things. This is a very normal reaction to anything that upsets the balance we have set for ourselves. This is especially true when you have an anxiety disorder.
One of the most common fears of anxiety sufferers is being stuck in a huge crowd. There is just something unsettling about being surrounded by hundreds or even thousands of people.
This fear however is normal and its also something that affects all people in some way. It just so happens that when you have anxiety the affect can be more severe.
