As of right now I am trying a herb for the very 1st time. Its called “Gaba” and its supposed to help relieve anxiety, stress, and help your nervous system. Its also considered a diet supplement to help you lose weight. I tried it for the past 2 days and I do feel a little more laid back but it also can be sorta heavy on the stomach (which is one of the little side effects). Not sure if I’m going to continue use them….only time will tell.

I do have something to add to this conversation. As someone who has recently acquired anxiety disorder, I am also a bit of a hypochondriac and avoid putting medicine in my body as I get a wave of panic the second I swallow that manifolds my overall terror. That being said, the medicine my doctor prescribed me won’t be getting much use. However, at my local health shop I found a product called ‘Kalms’ (in the UK) that is supposed to alleviate stress, irritability, anxiety, worry, etc. It is a mix of valerian root, hops and gentian root in a small pill form and you take 2 with a meal, as required, or three times a day. I’m not taking them quite so regularly but I do feel relieved at the thought that they are there as a back-up plan, and notably they do aid in calming down. They are in no way comparable to hard-core medicine, of course, but are a great remedy nonetheless.
