Anxiety Guru’s 100th Post

So this marks the 100th time that I’ve tried to tell someone something about anxiety. It’s been nearly six months since I started writing this blog and since that time it has been growing steadily.

I wanted to take a moment to thank all my readers. Thank you for taking the time to read this blog and making what I do worth while. I work hard to bring everyone information I think is worth knowing and try to present it in a somewhat amusing way.

I also wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself as well. My about me page is bland but that’s mainly because I figured that people that read this blog are concerned with their anxiety and not the music I listen to etc.

My name is Paul Dooley. I turned 30 years old yesterday. I was born, raised, and live in Southern California. I have a two year old son that is way better looking than me and have a beautiful wife that caused this to happen.

I work in a cubicle like many of you do. I am a middle class worker bee that has chronic anxiety. I have had this “bug” for 10 years and I don’t see any signs of it fading.

I am afraid of flying, being a passenger in cars, disease, criticism, and bunch of other stuff. I read about anxiety, anxiety disorders and anything related to anxiety almost everyday. From blogs, to news, to books and scientific studies. I am a student of my condition.

I have a four year college degree that is seemingly useless but looks great on my wall. I have a dry sense of humor and can’t stand licorice. I am instead very partial to gummy bears.

If you can picture it I write post for this blog almost everyday on my desktop or laptop computer depending on if I want to watch t.v. while I do it. Sometimes I sit in my lazy boy, sometimes at my dinner table and a lot in my home office where I bang away on my keyboard.

My favorite color is green and blue. I am not talented at anything but just do a bunch of things at an o.k. level. I struggle with anxiety just like you.

For all the readers who have left comments – thank you. For those of you that appreciate what I do here – thank you.

I hope what I do helps you and makes you understand that despite the anxiety we feel and the repeated setbacks we experience we can and will lead a normal life – just in a different way.

I have no clue if any of this information is even remotely interesting to anyone but for anyone that is this is more or less who I am. Thanks again.

– Paul
