A Message to the Sometimes Anxious Person

Low-level anxiety is still anxiety. For that reason, any kind of anxiety that makes you think twice about it should never be minimized.

People forget that there are those that don’t get panic attacks, chest pain or palpitations that are still hounded my bad nerves. If you’re one of these people you might be tempted to just put up with your anxiety because it isn’t “that bad.” To my mind this isn’t a good thing.

There might be people in your life that say things like “It’s just anxiety” or “Just distract yourself.” But these aren’t solutions. In most cases this doesn’t work because being strong so to speak doesn’t make the anxiety go away.

I can speak from my own experience. It’s for this reason that I can be sure of two things. First, non-action in the face of low-level anxiety is a typical reaction. Second, low-level anxiety is the easiest to treat. So then, take a few minutes – 13 to be exact – and listen to today’s podcast to learn more about this topic.

    OMG! This is me…I have had palps since I was about 10 years old, now I am 55 ugh! I have mild OCD, I’m never completely happy, but somehow I managed to hide it from friends and family all those years. I never ended up in an emergency room but I have been to the Doctor a few times and of course, couldn’t find anything wrong with me. And yes, I do feel like it’s just part of my quirky life and this is the way I will always be.
    Last year I was having some major palps and I started searching the internet and found Pauls site…that’s the first time in all these years I could finally put a name to my problem! Thank you Paul!!

    It was nice visiting this post. I know that anxiety is hard to deal with. That is why I would like to leave a message for my brothers and sisters who are wrestling with anxiety.

    I’d like to share this thought from God’s word with you:

    “Abundant peace belongs to those who love your law;
    Nothing can make them stumble”.
    -Psalms 119:165.

    Even though anxiety causes discomfort, know that with God, you can enjoy continuous peace. He wants us to be happy.

    The best way to do that is drawing close to Him by means of prayer and reading His word, the Bible daily and allowing Him to guide us in our lives with His words(James 4:8).

    So, my message to my brothers and sisters who are wrestling with anxiety is this:

    “May you draw close to God so He can draw close to you and bless you with abundant peace. Anxiety is very difficult to bear, but God is here to bless you with peace and happiness. So, reach out and touch Jehovah God’s Hand for He is eager for you to do so”.

    My love to my brothers and sisters who are wrestling with anxiety.
