Learning how to accept your anxiety disorder is actually very difficult. This is because our natural instinct is to fight our anxiety symptoms and do all you can to push your anxious thoughts and feelings out of our mind. But in fact, really accepting your anxiety disorder is perhaps the best way to manage and ultimately eliminate anxiety from your life. Sometimes when people ask you to accept something you really don't fully accept it. What a lot of us do instead is just put up with whatever the issue is. However, in order to really

Anxiety Fueled Anger

Sometimes the irritability that is brought on by your anxiety disorder can tip you into a full rage. Whether it's general anxiety disorder, PTSD, social phobia, etc sometimes your anger makes you want to Hulk out. Case in point, today my boss pulls me aside and tells me something negative. Something like whaw, whaw, blah blah, negative, negative. By the end of his sermon of put down I essentially lost it (in my mind of course) for a few minutes and I had to focus to maintain the appearance of full tranquility. This is precisely why if your

Having an anxiety disorder can take up a lot of your time. It can also cause you to lose out on having fun and doing things other than worrying. A great way to curtail this tendency is to make a plan, or blue print, of how you will spend your free time. Anxiety disorder (all forms of anxiety disorder included) can cause you to obsess about your problems all the time. Is it not enough that anxiety symptoms drain you of your energy and enthusiasm? Don't let anxiety dictate to you what you will and will not do. Hopefully you have subscribed

How To Control Your Anxiety

In boxing there is a saying that says all boxers have a plan until they get hit. I love that saying because it illustrates wonderfully my battles with anxiety symptoms. When I start feeling better I always make a plan about what I will do to control my anxiety, but as soon as my anxiety symptoms hit my plan would always fall apart as if Mike Tyson himself punched me square on the nose. That continued until I found a new plan. To control your anxiety you have to have a plan, sort of. What I mean by plan is a way to sort out an actual set of

Do you need yet another way to tone down your stress and anxiety? I have a suggestion. Stop watching the news. One of the things about anxiety that I have learned over the years is that the anxiety you build inside yourself is not just related to how you feel. How you feel is also directly related to all the negative things that bombard you everyday and get stored in your memory and subconsciousness. Overtime all that negative junk builds up and adds stress to your already fragile and fatigued state. The negativity fuels your fears and creates

If you have Anxiety Disorder or other related condition going to crowded places is the last thing you want to do. Even if you agree to it while at home, once you get there you are likely to say "damn, now why did I do that?". But, you really can get through it and I want to give you some tips to do battle with dinner time. First things first, you really don't have to fight it. And really the only way that you will get through dinner at a busy eatery is to accept that you don't feel good. In addition, you have to accept, fully, whatever your

Now all people, with or without anxiety, have to go to the dentist for obvious reasons. But if you have anxiety disorder, PTSD, panic disorder or something similar than this can become more than just a visit to the dentist office. It can become a hellish mental exercise in fear production. I went to my dentist this past Saturday, and let's just say I had to use all the jedi mind tricks I could grab from my Guru goodie bag. Now, fear and anxiety about seeing a dentist is rather normal, but if you are like me then you are pretty much afraid of
